الفصل 12
22 وقال لتلاميذه : من أجل هذا أقول لكم : لا تهتموا لحياتكم بما تأكلون ، ولا للجسد بما تلبسون
23 الحياة أفضل من الطعام ، والجسد أفضل من اللباس
24 تأملوا الغربان : أنها لا تزرع ولا تحصد ، وليس لها مخدع ولا مخزن ، والله يقيتها . كم أنتم بالحري أفضل من الطيور
25 ومن منكم إذا اهتم يقدر أن يزيد على قامته ذراعا واحدة
26 فإن كنتم لا تقدرون ولا على الأصغر ، فلماذا تهتمون بالبواقي
27 تأملوا الزنابق كيف تنمو : لا تتعب ولا تغزل ، ولكن أقول لكم : إنه ولا سليمان في كل مجده كان يلبس كواحدة منها
28 فإن كان العشب الذي يوجد اليوم في الحقل ويطرح غدا في التنور يلبسه الله هكذا ، فكم بالحري يلبسكم أنتم يا قليلي الإيمان
29 فلا تطلبوا أنتم ما تأكلون وما تشربون ولا تقلقوا
30 فإن هذه كلها تطلبها أمم العالم . وأما أنتم فأبوكم يعلم أنكم تحتاجون إلى هذه
31 بل اطلبوا ملكوت الله ، وهذه كلها تزاد لكم
والمجد لله دائماً

متى 22 : 1 - 14
الفصل 22
1 وجعل يسوع يكلمهم أيضا بأمثال قائلا
2 يشبه ملكوت السماوات إنسانا ملكا صنع عرسا لابنه
3 وأرسل عبيده ليدعوا المدعوين إلى العرس ، فلم يريدوا أن يأتوا
4 فأرسل أيضا عبيدا آخرين قائلا : قولوا للمدعوين : هوذا غدائي أعددته . ثيراني ومسمناتي قد ذبحت ، وكل شيء معد . تعالوا إلى العرس
5 ولكنهم تهاونوا ومضوا ، واحد إلى حقله ، وآخر إلى تجارته
6 والباقون أمسكوا عبيده وشتموهم وقتلوهم
7 فلما سمع الملك غضب ، وأرسل جنوده وأهلك أولئك القاتلين وأحرق مدينتهم
8 ثم قال لعبيده : أما العرس فمستعد ، وأما المدعوون فلم يكونوا مستحقين
9 فاذهبوا إلى مفارق الطرق ، وكل من وجدتموه فادعوه إلى العرس
10 فخرج أولئك العبيد إلى الطرق ، وجمعوا كل الذين وجدوهم أشرارا وصالحين . فامتلأ العرس من المتكئين
11 فلما دخل الملك لينظر المتكئين ، رأى هناك إنسانا لم يكن لابسا لباس العرس
12 فقال له : يا صاحب ، كيف دخلت إلى هنا وليس عليك لباس العرس ؟ فسكت
13 حينئذ قال الملك للخدام : اربطوا رجليه ويديه ، وخذوه واطرحوه في الظلمة الخارجية . هناك يكون البكاء وصرير الأسنان
14 لأن كثيرين يدعون وقليلين ينتخبون

الفصل 6
10 أخيرا يا إخوتي تقووا في الرب وفي شدة قوته
11 البسوا سلاح الله الكامل لكي تقدروا أن تثبتوا ضد مكايد إبليس
12 فإن مصارعتنا ليست مع دم ولحم ، بل مع الرؤساء ، مع السلاطين ، مع ولاة العالم على ظلمة هذا الدهر ، مع أجناد الشر الروحية في السماويات
13 من أجل ذلك احملوا سلاح الله الكامل لكي تقدروا أن تقاوموا في اليوم الشرير ، وبعد أن تتمموا كل شيء أن تثبتوا
14 فاثبتوا ممنطقين أحقاءكم بالحق ، ولابسين درع البر
15 وحاذين أرجلكم باستعداد إنجيل السلام
16 حاملين فوق الكل ترس الإيمان ، الذي به تقدرون أن تطفئوا جميع سهام الشرير الملتهبة
17 وخذوا خوذة الخلاص ، وسيف الروح الذي هو كلمة الله
18 مصلين بكل صلاة وطلبة كل وقت في الروح ، وساهرين لهذا بعينه بكل مواظبة وطلبة ، لأجل جميع القديسين
19 ولأجلي ، لكي يعطى لي كلام عند افتتاح فمي ، لأعلم جهارا بسر الإنجيل
20 الذي لأجله أنا سفير في سلاسل ، لكي أجاهر فيه كما يجب أن أتكلم
21 ولكن لكي تعلموا أنتم أيضا أحوالي ، ماذا أفعل ، يعرفكم بكل شيء تيخيكس الأخ الحبيب والخادم الأمين في الرب
22 الذي أرسلته إليكم لهذا بعينه ، لكي تعلموا أحوالنا ، ولكي يعزي قلوبكم
23 سلام على الإخوة ، ومحبة بإيمان من الله الآب والرب يسوع المسيح
24 النعمة مع جميع الذين يحبون ربنا يسوع المسيح في عدم فساد . آمين

7 فاخضعوا لله . قاوموا إبليس فيهرب منكم
8 اقتربوا إلى الله فيقترب إليكم . نقوا أيديكم أيها الخطاة ، وطهروا قلوبكم يا ذوي الرأيين
9 اكتئبوا ونوحوا وابكوا . ليتحول ضحككم إلى نوح ، وفرحكم إلى غم
10 اتضعوا قدام الرب فيرفعكم
11 لا يذم بعضكم بعضا أيها الإخوة . الذي يذم أخاه ويدين أخاه يذم الناموس ويدين الناموس . وإن كنت تدين الناموس ، فلست عاملا بالناموس ، بل ديانا له
12 واحد هو واضع الناموس ، القادر أن يخلص ويهلك . فمن أنت يا من تدين غيرك
13 هلم الآن أيها القائلون : نذهب اليوم أو غدا إلى هذه المدينة أو تلك ، وهناك نصرف سنة واحدة ونتجر ونربح
14 أنتم الذين لا تعرفون أمر الغد لأنه ما هي حياتكم ؟ إنها بخار ، يظهر قليلا ثم يضمحل
15 عوض أن تقولوا : إن شاء الرب وعشنا نفعل هذا أو ذاك
16 وأما الآن فإنكم تفتخرون في تعظمكم . كل افتخار مثل هذا رديء
17 فمن يعرف أن يعمل حسنا ولا يعمل ، فذلك خطية له
Dلا تحبوا العالم ولا الأشياء التي في العالم؛ لأن العالم يمضي وشهوته. أما الذي يصنع إرادة الله فيثبت إلى الأبد

اعمال 25 : 13 - 26 : 1
الفصل 25
13 وبعدما مضت أيام أقبل أغريباس الملك وبرنيكي إلى قيصرية ليسلما على فستوس
14 ولما كانا يصرفان هناك أياما كثيرة ، عرض فستوس على الملك أمر بولس ، قائلا : يوجد رجل تركه فيلكس أسيرا
15 وعرض لي عنه رؤساء الكهنة ومشايخ اليهود لما كنت في أورشليم طالبين حكما عليه
16 فأجبتهم أن ليس للرومانيين عادة أن يسلموا أحدا للموت قبل أن يكون المشكو عليه مواجهة مع المشتكين ، فيحصل على فرصة للاحتجاج عن الشكوى
17 فلما اجتمعوا إلى هنا جلست من دون إمهال في الغد على كرسي الولاية ، وأمرت أن يؤتى بالرجل
18 فلما وقف المشتكون حوله ، لم يأتوا بعلة واحدة مما كنت أظن
19 لكن كان لهم عليه مسائل من جهة ديانتهم ، وعن واحد اسمه يسوع قد مات ، وكان بولس يقول : إنه حي
20 وإذ كنت مرتابا في المسألة عن هذا قلت : ألعله يشاء أن يذهب إلى أورشليم ، ويحاكم هناك من جهة هذه الأمور
21 ولكن لما رفع بولس دعواه لكي يحفظ لفحص أوغسطس ، أمرت بحفظه إلى أن أرسله إلى قيصر
22 فقال أغريباس لفستوس : كنت أريد أنا أيضا أن أسمع الرجل . فقال : غدا تسمعه
23 ففي الغد لما جاء أغريباس وبرنيكي في احتفال عظيم ، ودخلا إلى دار الاستماع مع الأمراء ورجال المدينة المقدمين ، أمر فستوس فأتي ببولس
24 فقال فستوس : أيها الملك أغريباس والرجال الحاضرون معنا أجمعون ، أنتم تنظرون هذا الذي توسل إلي من جهته كل جمهور اليهود في أورشليم وهنا ، صارخين أنه لا ينبغي أن يعيش بعد
25 وأما أنا فلما وجدت أنه لم يفعل شيئا يستحق الموت ، وهو قد رفع دعواه إلى أوغسطس ، عزمت أن أرسله
26 وليس لي شيء يقين من جهته لأكتب إلى السيد . لذلك أتيت به لديكم ، ولا سيما لديك أيها الملك أغريباس ، حتى إذا صار الفحص يكون لي شيء لأكتب
27 لأني أرى حماقة أن أرسل أسيرا ولا أشير إلى الدعاوي التي عليه
الفصل 26
1 فقال أغريباس لبولس : مأذون لك أن تتكلم لأجل نفسك . حينئذ بسط بولس يده وجعل يحتج
لم تزل كلمة الرب تنمو وتعتز وتثبت في كنيسة الله المقدسة

يوحنا 4 : 1 - 42
الفصل 4
1 فلما علم الرب أن الفريسيين سمعوا أن يسوع يصير ويعمد تلاميذ أكثر من يوحنا
2 مع أن يسوع نفسه لم يكن يعمد بل تلاميذه
3 ترك اليهودية ومضى أيضا إلى الجليل
4 وكان لا بد له أن يجتاز السامرة
5 فأتى إلى مدينة من السامرة يقال لها سوخار ، بقرب الضيعة التي وهبها يعقوب ليوسف ابنه
6 وكانت هناك بئر يعقوب . فإذ كان يسوع قد تعب من السفر ، جلس هكذا على البئر ، وكان نحو الساعة السادسة
7 فجاءت امرأة من السامرة لتستقي ماء ، فقال لها يسوع : أعطيني لأشرب
8 لأن تلاميذه كانوا قد مضوا إلى المدينة ليبتاعوا طعاما
9 فقالت له المرأة السامرية : كيف تطلب مني لتشرب ، وأنت يهودي وأنا امرأة سامرية ؟ لأن اليهود لا يعاملون السامريين
10 أجاب يسوع وقال لها : لو كنت تعلمين عطية الله ، ومن هو الذي يقول لك أعطيني لأشرب ، لطلبت أنت منه فأعطاك ماء حيا
11 قالت له المرأة : يا سيد ، لا دلو لك والبئر عميقة . فمن أين لك الماء الحي
12 ألعلك أعظم من أبينا يعقوب ، الذي أعطانا البئر ، وشرب منها هو وبنوه ومواشيه
13 أجاب يسوع وقال لها : كل من يشرب من هذا الماء يعطش أيضا
14 ولكن من يشرب من الماء الذي أعطيه أنا فلن يعطش إلى الأبد ، بل الماء الذي أعطيه يصير فيه ينبوع ماء ينبع إلى حياة أبدية
15 قالت له المرأة : يا سيد أعطني هذا الماء ، لكي لا أعطش ولا آتي إلى هنا لأستقي
16 قال لها يسوع : اذهبي وادعي زوجك وتعالي إلى ههنا
17 أجابت المرأة وقالت : ليس لي زوج . قال لها يسوع : حسنا قلت : ليس لي زوج
18 لأنه كان لك خمسة أزواج ، والذي لك الآن ليس هو زوجك . هذا قلت بالصدق
19 قالت له المرأة : يا سيد ، أرى أنك نبي
20 آباؤنا سجدوا في هذا الجبل ، وأنتم تقولون : إن في أورشليم الموضع الذي ينبغي أن يسجد فيه
21 قال لها يسوع : يا امرأة ، صدقيني أنه تأتي ساعة ، لا في هذا الجبل ، ولا في أورشليم تسجدون للآب
22 أنتم تسجدون لما لستم تعلمون ، أما نحن فنسجد لما نعلم . لأن الخلاص هو من اليهود
23 ولكن تأتي ساعة ، وهي الآن ، حين الساجدون الحقيقيون يسجدون للآب بالروح والحق ، لأن الآب طالب مثل هؤلاء الساجدين له
24 الله روح . والذين يسجدون له فبالروح والحق ينبغي أن يسجدوا
25 قالت له المرأة : أنا أعلم أن مسيا ، الذي يقال له المسيح ، يأتي . فمتى جاء ذاك يخبرنا بكل شيء
26 قال لها يسوع : أنا الذي أكلمك هو
27 وعند ذلك جاء تلاميذه ، وكانوا يتعجبون أنه يتكلم مع امرأة . ولكن لم يقل أحد : ماذا تطلب ؟ أو لماذا تتكلم معها
28 فتركت المرأة جرتها ومضت إلى المدينة وقالت للناس
29 هلموا انظروا إنسانا قال لي كل ما فعلت . ألعل هذا هو المسيح
30 فخرجوا من المدينة وأتوا إليه
31 وفي أثناء ذلك سأله تلاميذه قائلين : يا معلم ، كل
32 فقال لهم : أنا لي طعام لآكل لستم تعرفونه أنتم
33 فقال التلاميذ بعضهم لبعض : ألعل أحدا أتاه بشيء ليأكل
34 قال لهم يسوع : طعامي أن أعمل مشيئة الذي أرسلني وأتمم عمله
35 أما تقولون : إنه يكون أربعة أشهر ثم يأتي الحصاد ؟ ها أنا أقول لكم : ارفعوا أعينكم وانظروا الحقول إنها قد ابيضت للحصاد
36 والحاصد يأخذ أجرة ويجمع ثمرا للحياة الأبدية ، لكي يفرح الزارع والحاصد معا
37 لأنه في هذا يصدق القول : إن واحدا يزرع وآخر يحصد
38 أنا أرسلتكم لتحصدوا ما لم تتعبوا فيه . آخرون تعبوا وأنتم قد دخلتم على تعبهم
39 فآمن به من تلك المدينة كثيرون من السامريين بسبب كلام المرأة التي كانت تشهد أنه : قال لي كل ما فعلت
40 فلما جاء إليه السامريون سألوه أن يمكث عندهم ، فمكث هناك يومين
41 فآمن به أكثر جدا بسبب كلامه
42 وقالوا للمرأة : إننا لسنا بعد بسبب كلامك نؤمن ، لأننا نحن قد سمعنا ونعلم أن هذا هو بالحقيقة المسيح مخلص العالم
والمجد لله دائماً أبدياً، آمين

It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

Chapter 25
13 And after certain days king Agrippa and Bernice came unto Caesarea to salute Festus.
14 And when they had been there many days, Festus declared Paul's cause unto the king, saying, There is a certain man left in bonds by Felix:
15 About whom, when I was at Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews informed me, desiring to have judgment against him.
16 To whom I answered, It is not the manner of the Romans to deliver any man to die, before that he which is accused have the accusers face to face, and have licence to answer for himself concerning the crime laid against him.
17 Therefore, when they were come hither, without any delay on the morrow I sat on the judgment seat, and commanded the man to be brought forth.
18 Against whom when the accusers stood up, they brought none accusation of such things as I supposed:
19 But had certain questions against him of their own superstition, and of one Jesus, which was dead, whom Paul affirmed to be alive.
20 And because I doubted of such manner of questions, I asked him whether he would go to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these matters.
21 But when Paul had appealed to be reserved unto the hearing of Augustus, I commanded him to be kept till I might send him to Caesar.
22 Then Agrippa said unto Festus, I would also hear the man myself. To morrow, said he, thou shalt hear him.
23 And on the morrow, when Agrippa was come, and Bernice, with great pomp, and was entered into the place of hearing, with the chief captains, and principal men of the city, at Festus' commandment Paul was brought forth.
24 And Festus said, King Agrippa, and all men which are here present with us, ye see this man, about whom all the multitude of the Jews have dealt with me, both at Jerusalem, and also here, crying that he ought not to live any longer.
25 But when I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death, and that he himself hath appealed to Augustus, I have determined to send him.
26 Of whom I have no certain thing to write unto my lord. Wherefore I have brought him forth before you, and specially before thee, O king Agrippa, that, after examination had, I might have somewhat to write.
27 For it seemeth to me unreasonable to send a prisoner, and not withal to signify the crimes laid against him.
Chapter 26
1 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Thou art permitted to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself:
The word of the Lord shall grow, multiply, be mighty, and be confirmed, in the holy Church of God.

Day 18 of the Blessed Coptic Month of Baramhat, may God make it always received, year after year, with reassurance and tranquility, while our sins after forgiven by the tender mercies of our God my fathers and brothers.

Martyrdom of St. Isidore, Friend of Sina the Soldier
On this day St. Isidore the companion of Sina the soldier was martyred. Sina, who was a native of the city of Deknash, was one of the soldiers who accompanied the Governor of Farma. St. Isidore was his friend and he was working as wool maker. Both of them gave alms to the poor and needy with what they earned. One night both saw a vision and it seemed to them that a virgin came to them with crowns which she placed on their heads. When they woke up from their sleep they told each other about what they had seen, and they rejoiced greatly as they believed that the Lord had called them to receive the crown of martyrdom. They went to the Governor and sina unbound the soldier's girdle and cast it down before him and they both confessed the Lord Christ. He ordered their detention but God sent His angel and comforted them.
The Governor sent St. Sina to Alexandria and St. Isidore remained prisoner alone. After a short period St. Sina was returned back to the Farma and St. Isidore rejoiced at meeting his friend, and they told each other what had happened to them. The Governor tortured them severely and ordered St. Isidore to be cast into a pit with fire therein. St. Isidore asked the soldier to wait and he prayed asking our Lord Christ to accept his soul and to care for his body. He gave himself to the soldiers and they threw him into the pit but his body was not harmed in any way by the fire. The mother of St. Sina was weeping for her son because of his separation from his friend. After a short while St. Isidore delivered up his soul and at that time the mother of St. Sina saw a multitude of angels carrying away St. Isidore's soul.
May his intercession be with us and glory be to God fore ever. Amen.

7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water:
Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.

9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria?
for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.
10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink;
thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep:
from whence then hast thou that living water?
12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?
13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst;
but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
15 The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.
16 Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.
17 The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband:
18 For thou hast had five husbands;
and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband:
in that saidst thou truly.
19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.
20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain;
and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.
21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
22 Ye worship ye know not what:
we know what we worship:
for salvation is of the Jews.
23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth:
for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24 God is a Spirit:
and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ:
when he is come, he will tell us all things.
26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.
27 And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman:

28 The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,

behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields;
for they are white already to harvest.
36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal:
that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.
37 And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.
38 I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour:
other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.
39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.
40 So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them:
and he abode there two days.
41 And many more believed because of his own word;
42 And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying:
for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

25 ومن منكم إذا اهتم يقدر أن يزيد على قامته ذراعا واحدة
26 فإن كنتم لا تقدرون ولا على الأصغر ، فلماذا تهتمون بالبواقي
27 تأملوا الزنابق كيف تنمو : لا تتعب ولا تغزل ، ولكن أقول لكم : إنه ولا سليمان في كل مجده كان يلبس كواحدة منها
28 فإن كان العشب الذي يوجد اليوم في الحقل ويطرح غدا في التنور يلبسه الله هكذا ، فكم بالحري يلبسكم أنتم يا قليلي الإيمان
29 فلا تطلبوا أنتم ما تأكلون وما تشربون ولا تقلقوا
30 فإن هذه كلها تطلبها أمم العالم . وأما أنتم فأبوكم يعلم أنكم تحتاجون إلى هذه
31 بل اطلبوا ملكوت الله ، وهذه كلها تزاد لكم
والمجد لله دائماً

4 فأرسل أيضا عبيدا آخرين قائلا : قولوا للمدعوين : هوذا غدائي أعددته . ثيراني ومسمناتي قد ذبحت ، وكل شيء معد . تعالوا إلى العرس
5 ولكنهم تهاونوا ومضوا ، واحد إلى حقله ، وآخر إلى تجارته
6 والباقون أمسكوا عبيده وشتموهم وقتلوهم
7 فلما سمع الملك غضب ، وأرسل جنوده وأهلك أولئك القاتلين وأحرق مدينتهم
8 ثم قال لعبيده : أما العرس فمستعد ، وأما المدعوون فلم يكونوا مستحقين
9 فاذهبوا إلى مفارق الطرق ، وكل من وجدتموه فادعوه إلى العرس
10 فخرج أولئك العبيد إلى الطرق ، وجمعوا كل الذين وجدوهم أشرارا وصالحين . فامتلأ العرس من المتكئين
11 فلما دخل الملك لينظر المتكئين ، رأى هناك إنسانا لم يكن لابسا لباس العرس
12 فقال له : يا صاحب ، كيف دخلت إلى هنا وليس عليك لباس العرس ؟ فسكت
13 حينئذ قال الملك للخدام : اربطوا رجليه ويديه ، وخذوه واطرحوه في الظلمة الخارجية . هناك يكون البكاء وصرير الأسنان
14 لأن كثيرين يدعون وقليلين ينتخبون

13 هلم الآن أيها القائلون : نذهب اليوم أو غدا إلى هذه المدينة أو تلك ، وهناك نصرف سنة واحدة ونتجر ونربح
14 أنتم الذين لا تعرفون أمر الغد لأنه ما هي حياتكم ؟ إنها بخار ، يظهر قليلا ثم يضمحل
15 عوض أن تقولوا : إن شاء الرب وعشنا نفعل هذا أو ذاك
16 وأما الآن فإنكم تفتخرون في تعظمكم . كل افتخار مثل هذا رديء
17 فمن يعرف أن يعمل حسنا ولا يعمل ، فذلك خطية له
Dلا تحبوا العالم ولا الأشياء التي في العالم؛ لأن العالم يمضي وشهوته. أما الذي يصنع إرادة الله فيثبت إلى الأبد

13 وبعدما مضت أيام أقبل أغريباس الملك وبرنيكي إلى قيصرية ليسلما على فستوس
14 ولما كانا يصرفان هناك أياما كثيرة ، عرض فستوس على الملك أمر بولس ، قائلا : يوجد رجل تركه فيلكس أسيرا
15 وعرض لي عنه رؤساء الكهنة ومشايخ اليهود لما كنت في أورشليم طالبين حكما عليه
16 فأجبتهم أن ليس للرومانيين عادة أن يسلموا أحدا للموت قبل أن يكون المشكو عليه مواجهة مع المشتكين ، فيحصل على فرصة للاحتجاج عن الشكوى
17 فلما اجتمعوا إلى هنا جلست من دون إمهال في الغد على كرسي الولاية ، وأمرت أن يؤتى بالرجل
18 فلما وقف المشتكون حوله ، لم يأتوا بعلة واحدة مما كنت أظن
19 لكن كان لهم عليه مسائل من جهة ديانتهم ، وعن واحد اسمه يسوع قد مات ، وكان بولس يقول : إنه حي
20 وإذ كنت مرتابا في المسألة عن هذا قلت : ألعله يشاء أن يذهب إلى أورشليم ، ويحاكم هناك من جهة هذه الأمور
21 ولكن لما رفع بولس دعواه لكي يحفظ لفحص أوغسطس ، أمرت بحفظه إلى أن أرسله إلى قيصر
22 فقال أغريباس لفستوس : كنت أريد أنا أيضا أن أسمع الرجل . فقال : غدا تسمعه
23 ففي الغد لما جاء أغريباس وبرنيكي في احتفال عظيم ، ودخلا إلى دار الاستماع مع الأمراء ورجال المدينة المقدمين ، أمر فستوس فأتي ببولس
24 فقال فستوس : أيها الملك أغريباس والرجال الحاضرون معنا أجمعون ، أنتم تنظرون هذا الذي توسل إلي من جهته كل جمهور اليهود في أورشليم وهنا ، صارخين أنه لا ينبغي أن يعيش بعد
25 وأما أنا فلما وجدت أنه لم يفعل شيئا يستحق الموت ، وهو قد رفع دعواه إلى أوغسطس ، عزمت أن أرسله
26 وليس لي شيء يقين من جهته لأكتب إلى السيد . لذلك أتيت به لديكم ، ولا سيما لديك أيها الملك أغريباس ، حتى إذا صار الفحص يكون لي شيء لأكتب
27 لأني أرى حماقة أن أرسل أسيرا ولا أشير إلى الدعاوي التي عليه
الفصل 26
1 فقال أغريباس لبولس : مأذون لك أن تتكلم لأجل نفسك . حينئذ بسط بولس يده وجعل يحتج
لم تزل كلمة الرب تنمو وتعتز وتثبت في كنيسة الله المقدسة

1 فلما علم الرب أن الفريسيين سمعوا أن يسوع يصير ويعمد تلاميذ أكثر من يوحنا

3 ترك اليهودية ومضى أيضا إلى الجليل
4 وكان لا بد له أن يجتاز السامرة
5 فأتى إلى مدينة من السامرة يقال لها سوخار ، بقرب الضيعة التي وهبها يعقوب ليوسف ابنه
6 وكانت هناك بئر يعقوب . فإذ كان يسوع قد تعب من السفر ، جلس هكذا على البئر ، وكان نحو الساعة السادسة
7 فجاءت امرأة من السامرة لتستقي ماء ، فقال لها يسوع : أعطيني لأشرب
8 لأن تلاميذه كانوا قد مضوا إلى المدينة ليبتاعوا طعاما
9 فقالت له المرأة السامرية : كيف تطلب مني لتشرب ، وأنت يهودي وأنا امرأة سامرية ؟ لأن اليهود لا يعاملون السامريين
10 أجاب يسوع وقال لها : لو كنت تعلمين عطية الله ، ومن هو الذي يقول لك أعطيني لأشرب ، لطلبت أنت منه فأعطاك ماء حيا
11 قالت له المرأة : يا سيد ، لا دلو لك والبئر عميقة . فمن أين لك الماء الحي
12 ألعلك أعظم من أبينا يعقوب ، الذي أعطانا البئر ، وشرب منها هو وبنوه ومواشيه
13 أجاب يسوع وقال لها : كل من يشرب من هذا الماء يعطش أيضا
14 ولكن من يشرب من الماء الذي أعطيه أنا فلن يعطش إلى الأبد ، بل الماء الذي أعطيه يصير فيه ينبوع ماء ينبع إلى حياة أبدية
15 قالت له المرأة : يا سيد أعطني هذا الماء ، لكي لا أعطش ولا آتي إلى هنا لأستقي
16 قال لها يسوع : اذهبي وادعي زوجك وتعالي إلى ههنا
17 أجابت المرأة وقالت : ليس لي زوج . قال لها يسوع : حسنا قلت : ليس لي زوج
18 لأنه كان لك خمسة أزواج ، والذي لك الآن ليس هو زوجك . هذا قلت بالصدق
19 قالت له المرأة : يا سيد ، أرى أنك نبي
20 آباؤنا سجدوا في هذا الجبل ، وأنتم تقولون : إن في أورشليم الموضع الذي ينبغي أن يسجد فيه
21 قال لها يسوع : يا امرأة ، صدقيني أنه تأتي ساعة ، لا في هذا الجبل ، ولا في أورشليم تسجدون للآب
22 أنتم تسجدون لما لستم تعلمون ، أما نحن فنسجد لما نعلم . لأن الخلاص هو من اليهود

36 والحاصد يأخذ أجرة ويجمع ثمرا للحياة الأبدية ، لكي يفرح الزارع والحاصد معا
37 لأنه في هذا يصدق القول : إن واحدا يزرع وآخر يحصد
38 أنا أرسلتكم لتحصدوا ما لم تتعبوا فيه . آخرون تعبوا وأنتم قد دخلتم على تعبهم
39 فآمن به من تلك المدينة كثيرون من السامريين بسبب كلام المرأة التي كانت تشهد أنه : قال لي كل ما فعلت
40 فلما جاء إليه السامريون سألوه أن يمكث عندهم ، فمكث هناك يومين
41 فآمن به أكثر جدا بسبب كلامه

15 About whom, when I was at Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews informed me, desiring to have judgment against him.
16 To whom I answered, It is not the manner of the Romans to deliver any man to die, before that he which is accused have the accusers face to face, and have licence to answer for himself concerning the crime laid against him.
17 Therefore, when they were come hither, without any delay on the morrow I sat on the judgment seat, and commanded the man to be brought forth.
18 Against whom when the accusers stood up, they brought none accusation of such things as I supposed:
19 But had certain questions against him of their own superstition, and of one Jesus, which was dead, whom Paul affirmed to be alive.
20 And because I doubted of such manner of questions, I asked him whether he would go to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these matters.
21 But when Paul had appealed to be reserved unto the hearing of Augustus, I commanded him to be kept till I might send him to Caesar.
22 Then Agrippa said unto Festus, I would also hear the man myself. To morrow, said he, thou shalt hear him.
23 And on the morrow, when Agrippa was come, and Bernice, with great pomp, and was entered into the place of hearing, with the chief captains, and principal men of the city, at Festus' commandment Paul was brought forth.
24 And Festus said, King Agrippa, and all men which are here present with us, ye see this man, about whom all the multitude of the Jews have dealt with me, both at Jerusalem, and also here, crying that he ought not to live any longer.
25 But when I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death, and that he himself hath appealed to Augustus, I have determined to send him.
26 Of whom I have no certain thing to write unto my lord. Wherefore I have brought him forth before you, and specially before thee, O king Agrippa, that, after examination had, I might have somewhat to write.
27 For it seemeth to me unreasonable to send a prisoner, and not withal to signify the crimes laid against him.
Chapter 26
1 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Thou art permitted to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself:
The word of the Lord shall grow, multiply, be mighty, and be confirmed, in the holy Church of God.

Martyrdom of St. Isidore, Friend of Sina the Soldier
On this day St. Isidore the companion of Sina the soldier was martyred. Sina, who was a native of the city of Deknash, was one of the soldiers who accompanied the Governor of Farma. St. Isidore was his friend and he was working as wool maker. Both of them gave alms to the poor and needy with what they earned. One night both saw a vision and it seemed to them that a virgin came to them with crowns which she placed on their heads. When they woke up from their sleep they told each other about what they had seen, and they rejoiced greatly as they believed that the Lord had called them to receive the crown of martyrdom. They went to the Governor and sina unbound the soldier's girdle and cast it down before him and they both confessed the Lord Christ. He ordered their detention but God sent His angel and comforted them.
The Governor sent St. Sina to Alexandria and St. Isidore remained prisoner alone. After a short period St. Sina was returned back to the Farma and St. Isidore rejoiced at meeting his friend, and they told each other what had happened to them. The Governor tortured them severely and ordered St. Isidore to be cast into a pit with fire therein. St. Isidore asked the soldier to wait and he prayed asking our Lord Christ to accept his soul and to care for his body. He gave himself to the soldiers and they threw him into the pit but his body was not harmed in any way by the fire. The mother of St. Sina was weeping for her son because of his separation from his friend. After a short while St. Isidore delivered up his soul and at that time the mother of St. Sina saw a multitude of angels carrying away St. Isidore's soul.
May his intercession be with us and glory be to God fore ever. Amen.

we know what we worship:
for salvation is of the Jews.

for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields;
for they are white already to harvest.
36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal:
that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.
37 And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.
38 I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour:
other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.
39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.
40 So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them:
and he abode there two days.
41 And many more believed because of his own word;
42 And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying:
for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.
